What this is

JewelryStoreAtlas is a free directory of jewelry stores in the United States, organised by state and city. Every listing has an address; most have a phone number, and where a business publishes its hours or services we show those too. Listings come from open data and from the businesses themselves, who can correct their card at any time — about the directory. Nothing on the lists is paid placement.

Pick a state above, or use the “near me” button to jump to the jewelry stores closest to you. City pages show the full list with a map; state pages collect smaller towns that have a single jewelry store.

Resizing, a battery or a loose stone? Most jewelers size gold and platinum rings in-house, often within a few days, but eternity bands, tension settings, titanium and tungsten usually cannot be resized. A watch battery is a quick counter job at many jewelers; water-resistant and luxury watches are better left to a shop that can pressure-test the case afterwards.

Common questions

Can any ring be resized?

Most gold, silver and platinum rings can be sized up or down by a jeweler. Rings with stones set all the way around (eternity bands), tension-set rings and rings made of titanium, tungsten or ceramic usually cannot be resized; ask whether the jeweler can swap them for a different size instead.

What do 10K, 14K and 18K mean?

Karats measure how much of the metal is pure gold, out of 24 parts: 10K is 41.7% gold, 14K is 58.3% and 18K is 75%. Higher karat gold is richer in color and softer; 14K is the most common choice in the United States for everyday rings.

Where can I get a watch battery replaced?

Many jewelry stores and watch repair shops replace batteries while you wait. For a dive watch or any watch rated water-resistant, choose a shop that replaces the gasket and pressure-tests the case, because opening the back can break the seal.

How do I sell gold jewelry for a fair price?

Know the karat (stamped inside the band or on the clasp) and weigh the pieces yourself if you can. Buyers pay a share of the day's gold price for the pure gold content, so get quotes from two or three gold buyers or jewelers and ask each one what percentage of the spot price they pay.
